Skip Great Adventure for a weekend: Jersey Shore boardwalk credits
New Jersey is a real credit run. It is not a 10-hour alpine dump.
GSP, the Parkway, and Morey's as a half make this a
two-day corridor. Nitro can wait. Pay-per-ride wherever you can;
wristbands are how the Shore eats a budget.

Count boardwalks, or skip this page.
These are piers, spinning kiddies, and one Euro-Fighter. If you only
came for El Toro, Great Adventure is the trip — not this. Nickelodeon
Universe at American Dream is a mall half-day and a different map.
The mapped order
Day 1 runs north to south along the Monmouth / Ocean shore:
Keansburg, Point Pleasant, Seaside Heights. Sleep somewhere that does
not make you recross the whole Parkway in the morning. Day 2 is
Ocean City then Wildwood. Storybook Land and Steel Pier sit on the
AC/Egg Harbor inland line — overflow, not the spine. Fantasy Island
is Long Beach Island; treat it as a detour, not a through-stop.
Schematic, not turn-by-turn. Gold stops are the core weekend;
dashed extras are AC, LBI, and inland FECs.
How the clock actually works
Atlas tags most of these half because families stay.
You are here to ride the coasters and leave. Budget
45–90 minutes at Keansburg and Jenkinson's,
90–150 minutes at Casino Pier (Hydrus plus three
others), ~2 hours at Castaway if GaleForce is
walking on, and a true half day at Morey's for
seven credits across three piers. The Parkway on a Saturday in July
can eat a stop by itself. Shoulder-season hours collapse; always
check the day's board.
Ticket ballpark, pay-per-ride on day 1 and a rides wristband on day 2:
Keansburg tickets (~$10–20 for two coasters) + Jenkinson's 16 credits
(~$16) + Casino Pier ~30 credits (~$30) + Castaway (~$25–40 including
GaleForce's $10 pass) + Morey's rides/combo (~$80–120). Call it
$160–220 before food and meters. Three-hour
Jenkinson's wristbands ($48.95 weekday) are a bad buy for two
credits.
Day 1 — north shore
1. Keansburg Amusement Park — Looping Star + Sea Serpent
Furthest north, cheapest traditional credits. Gate is free. Buy
tickets, not a waterpark combo, not Friday Night Madness unless you
are already there at 5pm. Looping Star and Sea Serpent are the list.
Skip Runaway Rapids.
Individual tickets are $1.50 (card convenience fee
on top). Two coasters is usually cheaper than a $19.95–$24.95
wristband. Hours are weather and Facebook — 732-495-1400.
2. Jenkinson's Boardwalk — Patriot's Run + Shark Escape
Point Pleasant Beach · 10 + 6 credits · do not buy the 3-hour band
Two credits on the south boardwalk ride park. Patriot's Run is 10
credits; Shark Escape is 6. Credits are $1 each on
the current Bounce cards. Sixteen dollars. The weekday 3-hour
unlimited wristband is $48.95 ($52.95 weekends) —
that is a family product.
Friday night $25 unlimited (Memorial–Labor, not holidays) only
makes sense if you planned to be there anyway after Casino Pier,
which you will not. Aquarium and beach tags are not credits. Ride
park hours follow their schedule page, not the arcade.
The day's real park. Free to walk on. Hydrus is 12 credits (the
Euro-Fighter). Xolo Loca 8, Hot Tamales 4, Pirate's Hideaway 6.
That is 30 credits — load a $30 card and stop buying. 55 credits
for $50 is the bundle if you might re-ride Hydrus.
A 2-hour pier wristband is $40 weekday / $45 weekend — only if
lines are ugly. Do not buy Ride & Slide ($74.95) for Breakwater
Beach. Go-karts and SkyCoaster are not the list. Pier rides often
post 1pm–11pm in season.
Day 2 — south piers
4. Playland's Castaway Cove — four credits, one boardwalk
1020 Boardwalk, Ocean City · $1 tickets · GaleForce $10 or 14 tickets
GaleForce, Whirlwind, Wild Waves, Pirates Gold Rush. Free to enter.
Singles are $1; GaleForce also sells a $10 ride pass
(or 14 tickets). The other three are cheaper ticket rides. Do not
buy a 210-ticket mega book for four laps.
Ocean City is dry and parked-up. Budget a garage and a walk.
Seasonal — late March into early fall, often later in the evening
in summer. Call 609-399-4751 if you are shouldering October.
5. Morey's Piers — seven credits, half a day
Wildwood · Great White, Nor'Easter, Sea Serpent, and friends
Atlas tags this half for a reason: three piers, seven
operating coasters (Great White, Great Nor'Easter, Sea Serpent, Doo
Wopper, Rollies, Runaway Tram, Wild Whizzer). This is the
south-day centerpiece, not a 40-minute alpine.
Buy a rides wristband, not the water-park combo
(~$119 regular / ~$102 on spring sale) unless you wanted Raging
Waters. Ticket cards start around $78 if you only need a few, which
you do not. Parking and the tram between piers are the clock, not
the trains.
Overflow if the Parkway behaves
Storybook Land + Steel Pier (Egg Harbor / Atlantic City)
Gated kiddie day vs two cheap pier credits
Storybook Land is $42.95 online (ages 2–64, tax-in)
for unlimited rides — two credits (Bubbles, Cinderoller). That is a
lot of gate for two family coasters; only if you are closing a
list. Steel Pier is pay-per-ride: tickets about $2 cash,
Crazy Crab ~8 tickets, Loco Motion ~6. Two credits for ~$28 if the
books have not moved. Wheel / Sling Shot / helicopter are excluded
from deals and are not the list.
Fantasy Island, then inland FECs
LBI detour · iPlay, Funplex, Clementon
Fantasy Island in Beach Haven is one credit and a causeway — only
if you already meant to be on LBI. Inland: iPlay America (Freehold)
Freedom Rider is about $6; Funplex (Mount Laurel)
weekday unlimited ~$42 for one spinner; Clementon ~$38 weekend
online. None of those belong on the shore spine.
Do not add Six Flags Great Adventure. Jackson is a
full day. Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream is a mall
half with its own parking garage. Mountain Creek and
Land of Make Believe are northwest, not the Shore.
What this weekend refuses to be
Not a Great Adventure guide, and not “every credit in New Jersey.”
Not lodging, meals, or Parkway tolls — tickets and clock only.
Not live wait times. Piers stack when the beach empties at 4pm.
Not turn-by-turn. Use the planner for a hub pin and drive order if
you want a map that moves.
Prefills Point Pleasant as the hub (day-1 middle). Mark Six Flags
Great Adventure and Nickelodeon Universe Avoid if you are reproducing
this weekend; Love the piers you still need. Sleep south of Seaside
if day 2 is Wildwood.
